What we do:  The Illinois Migrant Council (IMC) is a statewide community-based, non-profit organization with the primary mission of promoting employment, education, health, housing and other opportunities for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families to achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Who we serve: Migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families as well as the Hispanic and other disadvantaged populations

Eligibility requirements: For the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP)

  • Employed at least 25 days (or earned $800) in farm work during 12 months in the last two years,
  • Total family income below OMB or LLSIL poverty guidelines for family size in the twelve months,
  • Have work authorization documents (citizen, legal resident or work permit)
  • Males born after 01/01/1960: Registered in the Selective Service.
